The name is a portmanteau: Loÿs for Louis and Lucha from Chaffard-Luçon. Loys Lucha was an Art Deco lighting company celebrated for its high end polychrome-enamelled glass plaffoniers. Its hand-painted lights have vibrant enamel designs applied to delicate, frosted, or “frozen” glass often with abstract floral and nature motifs.. In the hierarchy of French Art Deco lighting, Loÿs Lucha is often compared to high-end producers like Leune (headed by Auguste Heiligenstein) or Maxonade.
