Dried orange slices make a really attractive and fragrant decoration for many cosmetic products including soaps and bath salts. Due to these being a natural product with no artificial additives these slices may vary in size. However they are grown to their adult fruit size before being cut and dried. They do have a beautiful strong sweet citrus scent which further enhances their attractiveness. To prevent these slices ruining, the product they are being used to decorate should be kept dry and not allowed to become damp or wet. Using them in a damp product will spoil them and may result in them re hydrating and ruining themselves and the product they are decorating. To avoid this, these slices can be used outside the product on the packaging. They can look just as attractive attached to a bag or cigar band. Orange slices can be used to decorate our Rudolph’s Winter Warmer FLEXI soap assessment. To keep these premium dried orange slices fresh they should be stored in an airtight container out of direct sunlight. If they were to get damp they can be dried out again. Simply place the slices on a wire cooling rack in a very low oven and turn regularly.
