I'm ordering my second pound of Dried California Apricots. They are FANASTIC. I've been searching for years at local markets for the old version of tart, tangy, really dried apricots of my youth. These fit the bill perfectly! THANK YOU. I do not care for the soft, partially dried, sweetish, read more... not tart Turkish Apricots that have taken over the grocery store shelves. I like a lot of pectin in my fruits, especially dried apricots. I had given up cooking anything with Apricots because I had to add so lemon juice to get the flavor up to taste for my apricot fried pies and apricot desserts. Nutstop's Dried California Apricots are JUST WHAT I HAVE BEEN SEEEKING. I disagree with the reviewer who said they taste as if dried in salt. He just seeks the sweet Turkish, which is fine. I eat unsalted food. These do not have salt flavor. They are a different variety and are perfection if you like a truly dried apricot that is tart, tangy and whose flavor can stand alone in baked goods or as snacks without having to boost the flavor in anyway.
