One of the best buys I have found for what it's worth! (Especially getting it in bulk.) Organic papaya without the usual sugar that they soak most dried papaya in! It won't be the same chewy sugary texture you might be used to, but it is exactly what I read more... was looking for. It tastes just like the common papayas I had in Thailand, not overly sweet but a great flavor to add for tropical combinations, to put in smoothies and cook in my overnight baked oatmeal, or cut up and put in trail mixes. Note that they are dried thinly and the texture is a bit harder to chew than some dried fruits, but that's typical with natural unsweetened dried fruits. The best thing to do is to soak the pieces overnight (packed tightly in a jar of water), and then it reconstitutes to a delicious soft papaya you could add to recipes or fruit salad, or with your morning cereal, etc. You might want to soak it briefly in hot water before blending it in smoothies, if your blender isn't very powerful. Excellent papaya!
