These are thick slices of not too sweet coconut. Much better than shredded coconut from the store. THey are dry but not dessicated and they have a nice "snappy" texture when you chomp them. They chop easily with a knife and I am sure they would work fine in read more... a blender. They tatse much more coconutty that I thought they would. They may have completely spoiled me on "store" coconut. I have been mucnhing them out of the bag but I think they would be very good in south indian coconut curries. The dried shredded coconut never juices up properly for me and it is too much planning fro me to find a nice coconut, buy it, and beat it open with a hammer and shred it. I think this will be nuch better :) As always fast shipping, well packed, without superfluous packaging and surprisingly good stuff.
