Dried Papaya Lemon Slices

It has a typical chemical lemon flavor and that's fine. But these as slices are just what's drying all the fruit out. All the pieces are brittle and dry. Unfortunately, I buy dried fruit instead of candy to avoid artificial flavor. I know I purchased a flavored product, but I read more... was hoping it was a mixture of papaya and artificial flavor. This felt more like a lemon flavor plus sugar kind of treat. I did not get the same jammy pungent experience as I did with the low sugar papaya spears.
